MOPS

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers.  It is a positive and caring network designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten.  MOPS groups meet in churches throughout the United States, Canada and nineteen other countries.  The women are of many ages and backgrounds, but share the same desire - to be the best mothers they can be!

MOPS is about celebrating motherhood, making connections with other moms, providing support and affirmation and experiencing God's love through relationships and resources.

First Southern Baptist Church MOPS welcomes moms from all denominations and backgrounds in the Topeka and surrounding area.  It is our prayer that FSBC MOPS is able to provide a warm, caring, and accepting environment; build and strengthen friendships among women; provide support and encouragement in our role as mothers; enrich members socially and spiritually.  Through all these, we hope to prepare each mom so she can face the challenges of parenting, marriage, home, community and personal needs with the help of friends and Jesus Christ.

FSBC MOPS meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of every month from September to May from 9:30 to 11:30 am.  We follow the 501 school district calendar for all holidays and cancellations due to bad weather.  We meet in the fellowship hall of First Southern Baptist Church at 1912 SW Gage.

If you would like more information please contact the church office at 272-0443 and they will direct you to the proper channels.
