In September, our church began a new journey together – asking ourselves the question, “What could the people of God do for the Kingdom of God, if they were debt-free?”
DID YOU KNOW? 53% of Christians have not given to their church in the last month!
Not only that, but church giving has not exceeded 3% as a portion of income in 40 years. Church members want to give, but they are so burdened by personal debt that tithing is difficult.
To help FSBC members tackle their own financial struggles and to free them to make an impact on their community and the world, we are undergoing an education emphasis called Momentum. We believe this time will transform the way our members view money and giving.
This is not a fund-raising campaign – we won’t be giving out pledge cards. Momentum is all about leading our people to financial maturity by cultivating a culture of giving in our church and our community. We will accomplish this by using Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University as our tool to intentionally disciple our church about finances.
Through FPU classes, we will learn how to handle God’s money God’s way while reaching out and making an impact on the community.
What is Financial Peace University?
FPU is the most important step to changing your financial future. It is your Total Money Makeover Program. It takes the knowledge from God and turns it into real action in our lives through a step-by-step process taught by best-selling author and financial counselor Dave Ramsey.

Our goal is for 80% of church families to be registered and going through Financial Peace University together.
