Teaching Pastor Position

First Southern Baptist Church Topeka, KS

First Southern Baptist Church (FSBC) is prayerfully seeking a new Teaching Pastor. FSBC is an elder-led, multi-generational congregation with a nearly 80-year history of outreach and sharing the gospel in the city of Topeka, KS. We are located one mile west of Washburn University, and we have around 275 people in our weekly worship service and 200 in Sunday School.

 This Teaching Pastor’s primary responsibilities will be to preach, teach, and equip the congregation to live out the church's mission, vision, and values. He will work alongside other full-time staff and pastors, helping them manage day-to-day operations. Pastors and lay elders are all equal members of the same team.

 The qualifications of the Teaching Pastor are those of an overseer/elder/pastor found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. The Job Description lists the additional qualifications specific to our church.
